Pete Hansen was originally from Denmark, but moved with his family to the USA when he was two years old. He was an animator at the Disney Studios from 1938 to 1941. Later on, he worked on a couple of newspaper comics, including 'Flapdoodles' (1950-1953) and 'Lolly' (17 March 1955-1983), syndicated by.The Chicago Tribune and New York News Syndicate. 'Lolly' featured gags about a pretty young girl, Lolly, and her younger brother, Pepper.
