Jerry Grandenetti studied art at the School of Visual Art and the Pratt Institute in New York, specializing in architectural drawing. In 1946, he was looking for a job at the various comic houses in New York, and he ended up as an assistant to Will Eisner on 'The Spirit'. He soon developed his talent, and started drawing 'The Secret Files of Dr. Drew' in Eisner's style for Ranger Comics. In the 1950s, he did the drawing on 'Crimebuster' and various western and war comics for DC Comics (a.o. 'Tomahawk', 'The Unexpected')…Wikipedia
