€1,300Jean-Claude Servais is part of the generation that modernized Belgian comics from the 1970s. He brings emotional, and sometimes magical, character-driven stories, set against the woody landscapes of the Belgian Ardennes or the Gaume. He studied graphic art at the École Supérieure des Arts Saint-Luc in Liège from 1974 until 1976.
