Franco Caprioli

Franco Caprioli was born in 1912 in Mompeo, in the province of Rieti. After a brief career as a painter, he began working as a comic artist for Il Vittorioso in 1936, and remained a contributor to this magazine for the next three decades. His specialty was adventure stories, and his first creation was 'Gino e Piero'. In the years before World War II, he provided stories like 'Il Mistero del Budda di Giada' and 'Pino il Mozzo'. He additionally made illustrations for Argentovivo and several stories for Topolino (a.o. 'L'Isola Gioveda').…Comiclopedia
