Didier Savard was born in Saint-Germain-en-Laye (Yvelines) and was initially an English teacher. He began his artistic career on the side, making his first illustrations in Survivre et Vivre and the daily Libération in 1972. In the following year, Libération published his first comic, 'Le Fabuleux Destin d'Auguste Pinochet'. In 1979, a collection of his humorous work for magazines like Méfi, Fluide Glacial, Libération and La Gueule Ouverte was published in the album 'Demain, Ça Ira Encore Mieux!' at Encre Noire. In 1980, he became a regular contributor to the magazines L'Écho des Savanes and L'Étudiant. He also made several short stories for Pilote.…Comiclopedia
