David Ratte was born in Besançon, and began his career in the advertising industry. He turned to comics in 2001, drawing several short stories for Lanfeust Mag. He made his album debut with the three books of 'Toxic Planet', a comic about the ecology, published by Paquet between 2006 and 2008. Paquet also released his next project, the ambitious 'Le Voyage des Pères'. In this series, Ratte explores the foundation of Christian values among the first companions of Jesus Christ.
