Aldo Rubano was active as a comic book artist during the 1940s and 1950s. He was initially affiliated with the Eiser-Iger shop, where he was working on backgrounds for the 'Spirit' newspaper comic. Throughout the 1940s, he worked for comic book publishers like Quality Comics ('Captain Triumph'), Superior Comics ('Happy Daze') and Fawcett. He also penciled the original comic book adaptation of 'The Adventures of Tom Sawyer' for Gilberton's Classics Illustrated series.
