Vicente Doria Catan Jr. worked for Filipino comic magazines like Superyor Komiks during the 1960s (a.o. 'Tani'). Like many Filipono artists, he went to work for US comic book companies through Tony De Zuniga's shop in the 1970s. Mostly using the pen name Vicatan, he worked for DC's horror and war titles during most of the 1970s and 1980s (The Unexpected, G.I. Combat, House of Mystery, etc.), and provided art for comic book adaptations of literary classics for Pendulum Press ('Billy Bud', 'Crime and Punishment', 'Othello', 'MacBeth', 'Julius Ceasar')…Comiclopedia
