Gustavo Trigo is the artist of the comic series 'La Guerra de los Antartes', written by Hector German Oesterheld for leftwing Noticias newspaper in the 1970s. The series continued the theme of Oesterheld's successful 'El Eternauta' series, about an alien invasion. However, 'La Guerra de los Antartes' had references to the political reality of Argentina.
