Uwanna
Daniel Clowes
A rare complete 3-page story from Lloyd Llewellyn #5, 1987—and one of the great self-contained LLL yarns, starring fan fave Ernie Hoyle. One couldn’t find a better example of Clowes’ vintage style. And as an added bonus, Clowes will also supply the artwork for the special, climactic final panel! Ink and zipatone on Bristol board, with each page measuring 15.5 x 11.75.”

Black Friday
Daniel Clowes
A great color cover sketch for the December 5, 2011 issue of the New Yorker titled “Black Friday.” This is certainly one of Clowes’ more poignant cover images for the august publication, and his cover artwork is virtually non-existent on the market. An excellent window into the Clowes’ working process and a great work of art on its own. Ink and colored pencil on paper, 11 x 8.5.”

Gynecology
Daniel Clowes
A key, self-contained page from the great story “Gynecology,” originally published in Eightball #17, 1996, and subsequently collected in the classic book Caricature. Pages from these stories, which are certainly among Clowes’ very best, are rare and coveted. Page 12, ink and zipatone on Bristol board, 20.5 x 13.25.”

Grist for the Mill
Daniel Clowes
A true rarity: an absolutely classic complete story from the early Eightball days! The majority of this original art was purchased long ago, with the artist holding the story back as a prime example from the era. “Grist for the Mill,” complete 2-page story, Eightball #8, 1992. Ink and beautifully painted wash on Bristol board, with each page measuring an impressive 18.75 x 12.25.”
