Laurent Paturaud was born in Chartres en Eure et Loir. After his studies in advertising art, he turned to making comics. He published some illustrations in local magazines and companies before winning the BDécouvertes contest held by the publishing house Glénat in 2000. Paturaud then teamed up with writer Thomas Mosdi to create the series 'Les Passants du Clair de Lune' at Glénat. He has also illustrated a biography about Auguste Poulet-Malassis and participated in the Soleil anthology 'Les Contes de l'Ankou'. Also at Soleil, he and writer Mosdi began the series 'Succubes'.
