Bruno Di Sano was born in Saint-Nicolas, in the region of Liège. His father didn't believe in the comic industry, so Di Sano studied to become a mechanic. While running his own garage, he began following correspondence courses in drawing. He published his first comic pages in 1971 in Aredit, called 'Waterloo'. Two years later, he had a short story published in Thierry Groensteen's fanzine Buck. He soon was present in the magazine Renault Contact, the fanzine A Propos De and in Spirou.
