Bob De Groot began his career as a comic artist, but eventually established himself as a productive scriptwriter, best-known for his enduring assocation with the artist Turk. Beginning their collaboration in the late 1960s, the duo gained great fame with their Robin Hood parody 'Robin Dubois' (1969-1989, 2007-2008) in Tintin magazine and their longest-running series 'Léonard' (1974-2015), about an expy of Leonardo Da Vinci and his long-suffering assistant.
