Walt Kelly Pogo Sunday Comic Strip Original Art dated 8-11-63 (Publishers-Hall Syndicate, 1963)....
Walt Kelly Pogo Sunday Comic Strip Original Art dated 8-11-63 (Publishers-Hall Syndicate, 1963). Albert and a bug find themselves lost in the swamp as this Sunday strip opens, but what a place to be lost: Walt Kelly grass grows over Walt Kelly roots, and Kelly moss hangs from Kelly trees. Maybe they don't appreciate the fact that they're lost in the Okeefenokee in one of America's greatest comic strips, but we sure do. Add to the beautiful drawing, Kelly's ongoing patter ("Are we downhearted?" "Yes!"), plus a healthy dose of silliness in the person of Beauregard J. Bugleboy the hound, and you've got enough glee and perloo to go around twice. This is 16" x 23.5" of art on a 17" x 26" page. The three tiers of art have been cut and re-taped together on the back, and there are four tape marks on the front sides; otherwise, the art is in Very Good condition.

Giorgio Comolo Little Nemo in Kirbyland Illustration Original Art (2016)....
Giorgio Comolo Little Nemo in Kirbyland Illustration Original Art (2016). Winsor McCay's Little Nemo ventures into the Kirbyverse and finds himself greeted by some of the most cosmic of all of Jack Kirby's creations! Ego the Living Planet, the Watcher, Galactus and the Silver Surfer, and five of the enigmatic Celestials are all present from the Marvel Universe. Then there is the planet Apokolips, the planet New Genesis with its floating Super-City, Orion of the New Gods, Metron, and a Promethean Giant... all from Kirby's "Fourth World" from DC Comics. Our favorite part of this is the white Kirby Krackle that is powering Nemo's bed. A lovely touch! A spectacular, cosmic vista by the amazing Giorgio Comolo produced in Ecoline watercolor and ink over graphite on Bristol board with an image area of 27.5" x 20.25", and in Excellent condition.
